[086:001]		Waalssama-i waalttariqi وَالسَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ

آسمان (کی فضائے بسیط اور خلائے عظیم) کی قَسم اور رات کو (نظر) آنے والے کی قَسم

[086:002]		Wama adraka ma alttariqu وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الطَّارِقُ

اور آپ کو کیا معلوم کہ رات کو (نظر) آنے والا کیا ہے

[086:003]		Alnnajmu alththaqibu النَّجْمُ الثَّاقِبُ

 Ø§Ù„نجم الثاقب
(اس سے مراد) ہر وہ آسمانی کرّہ ہے (خواہ وہ ستارہ ہو یا سیارہ یا اَجرامِ سماوی کا کوئی اور کرّہ) جو چمک کر (فضا کو) روشن کر دیتا ہے٭

Yousuf Ali(It is) the Star of piercing brightness;-

[086:004]		In kullu nafsin lamma AAalayha hafithun إِن كُلُّ نَفْسٍ لَّمَّا عَلَيْهَا حَافِظٌ

کوئی شخص ایسا نہیں جس پر ایک نگہبان (مقرر) نہیں ہے

Yousuf AliThere is no soul but has a protector over it.

[086:005]		Falyanthuri al-insanumimma khuliqa فَلْيَنظُرِ الْإِنسَانُ مِمَّ خُلِقَ

 ÙÙ„ينظر الانسان مم خلق
پس انسان کو غور (و تحقیق) کرنا چاہیے کہ وہ کس چیز سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے

Yousuf AliNow let man but think from what he is created!

[086:006]		Khuliqa min ma-in dafiqin خُلِقَ مِن مَّاءٍ دَافِقٍ

 Ø®Ù„Ù‚ من ماء دافق
وہ قوت سے اچھلنے والے پانی (یعنی قوی اور متحرک مادۂ تولید) میں سے پیدا کیا گیا ہے

Yousuf AliHe is created from a drop emitted-

[086:007]		Yakhruju min bayni alssulbi waalttara-ibi يَخْرُجُ مِن بَيْنِ الصُّلْبِ وَالتَّرَائِبِ

 ÙŠØ®Ø±Ø¬ من بين الصلب والترائب
جو پیٹھ اور کولہے کی ہڈیوں کے درمیان (پیڑو کے حلقہ میں) سے گزر کر باہر نکلتا ہے

 |يخرج - he brings out/he appears/he emerges/brings out/appears/ emerges | من - of| بين - null| الصلب - null| والترائب - null|

[086:008]		Innahu AAala rajAAihi laqadirun إِنَّهُ عَلَى رَجْعِهِ لَقَادِرٌ

 Ø§Ù†Ù‡ علي رجعه لقادر
بیشک وہ اس (زندگی) کو پھر واپس لانے پر بھی قادر ہے

Yousuf AliSurely (Allah) is able to bring him back (to life)!

[086:009]		Yawma tubla alssara-iru يَوْمَ تُبْلَى السَّرَائِرُ

 ÙŠÙˆÙ… تبلي السرائر
جس دن سب راز ظاہر کر دیے جائیں گے

Yousuf AliThe Day that (all) things secret will be tested,

[086:010]		Fama lahu min quwwatin wala nasirin فَمَا لَهُ مِن قُوَّةٍ وَلَا نَاصِرٍ

 ÙÙ…ا له من قوة ولا ناصر
پھر انسان کے پاس نہ (خود) کوئی قوت ہوگی اور نہ کوئی (اس کا) مددگار ہوگا

Yousuf Ali(Man) will have no power, and no helper.
 |فما - so but/so what/so why/so -- did not/so how/so -- was not/so -- are not/so -- does not/so -- were not/so none/so -- is not | له - XÂ¥{Â¥} a born to him/a father | من - of| قوة - null| ولا - But not| ناصر - victorior/saviour/supporter |

[086:011]		Waalssama-i thati alrrajAAi وَالسَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الرَّجْعِ

 ÙˆØ§Ù„سماء ذات الرجع
اس آسمانی کائنات کی قَسم جو پھر اپنی ابتدائی حالت میں پلٹ جانے والی ہے

Yousuf AliBy the Firmament which returns (in its round),
 |والسماء - null| ذات - of/on/once/that of/of that/this/ self/essence/that what is (prep. of ownership) | الرجع - the answer to the message/the rain after rain/the benefit |

[086:012]		Waal-ardi thati alssadAAi وَالْأَرْضِ ذَاتِ الصَّدْعِ

 ÙˆØ§Ù„ارض ذات الصدع
اس زمین کی قَسم جو پھٹ (کر ریزہ ریزہ ہو) جانے والی ہے

Yousuf AliAnd by the Earth which opens out (for the gushing of springs or the sprouting of vegetation),-
 |والارض - null| ذات - of/on/once/that of/of that/this/ self/essence/that what is (prep. of ownership) | الصدع - the split/the separation/the crack/the geological rift-fault line |

[086:013]		Innahu laqawlun faslun إِنَّهُ لَقَوْلٌ فَصْلٌ

 Ø§Ù†Ù‡ لقول فصل
بیشک یہ فیصلہ کن (قطعی) فرمان ہے

Yousuf AliBehold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil):

[086:014]		Wama huwa bialhazli وَمَا هُوَ بِالْهَزْلِ

 ÙˆÙ…ا هو بالهزل
اور یہ ہنسی کی بات نہیں ہے

Yousuf AliIt is not a thing for amusement.

[086:015]		Innahum yakeedoona kaydan إِنَّهُمْ يَكِيدُونَ كَيْدًا

 Ø§Ù†Ù‡Ù… يكيدون كيدا
بیشک وہ (کافر) پُر فریب تدبیروں میں لگے ہوئے ہیں

Yousuf AliAs for them, they are but plotting a scheme,
 |انهم - that they are/that they | يكيدون - they plot/they conspire/they deceive/they cheat/they fight/they embattle/they wish harm for others/they manipulate | كيدا - a plot/conspiracy/deceit/cheatery/a fight/a battle/wishing harm for another/a manipulation |

[086:016]		Waakeedu kaydan وَأَكِيدُ كَيْدًا

 ÙˆØ§ÙƒÙŠØ¯ كيدا
اور میں اپنی تدبیر فرما رہا ہوں

Yousuf AliAnd I am planning a scheme.
 |واكيد - null| كيدا - a plot/conspiracy/deceit/cheatery/a fight/a battle/wishing harm for another/a manipulation |

[086:017]		Famahhili alkafireena amhilhum ruwaydan فَمَهِّلِ الْكَافِرِينَ أَمْهِلْهُمْ رُوَيْدًا

 ÙÙ…هل الكافرين امهلهم رويدا
پس آپ کافروں کو (ذرا) مہلت دے دیجئے، (زیادہ نہیں بس) انہیں تھوڑی سی ڈھیل (اور) دے دیجئے

Yousuf AliTherefore grant a delay to the Unbelievers: Give respite to them gently (for awhile).
 |فمهل - so delay/so give time/so be gentle | الكافرين - the disbelieving/the disbelievers (p) | امهلهم - delay them/give them time/be gentle with them | رويدا - slowly/gently |
