بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ

[024:001]		Sooratun anzalnaha wafaradnahawaanzalna feeha ayatin bayyinatinlaAAallakum tathakkaroona سُورَةٌ أَنْزَلْنَاهَا وَفَرَضْنَاهَا وَأَنزَلْنَا فِيهَا آيَاتٍ بَيِّنَاتٍ لَّعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

 Ø³ÙˆØ±Ø© انزلناها وفرضناها وانزلنا فيها ايات بينات لعلكم تذكرون
(یہ) ایک (عظیم) سورت ہے جسے ہم نے اتارا ہے اور ہم نے اس (کے احکام) کو فرض کر دیا ہے اور ہم نے اس میں واضح آیتیں نازل فرمائی ہیں تاکہ تم نصیحت حاصل کرو

Yousuf AliA sura which We have sent down and which We have ordained in it have We sent down Clear Signs, in order that ye may receive admonition.

[024:002]		Alzzaniyatu waalzzaneefaijlidoo kulla wahidin minhuma mi-atajaldatin wala ta/khuthkum bihima ra/fatunfee deeni Allahi in kuntum tu/minoona biAllahiwaalyawmi al-akhiri walyashhad AAathabahumata-ifatun mina almu/mineena الزَّانِيَةُ وَالزَّانِي فَاجْلِدُوا كُلَّ وَاحِدٍ مِّنْهُمَا مِئَةَ جَلْدَةٍ وَلَا تَأْخُذْكُم بِهِمَا رَأْفَةٌ فِي دِينِ اللَّهِ إِن كُنتُمْ تُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَلْيَشْهَدْ عَذَابَهُمَا طَائِفَةٌ مِّنَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

 Ø§Ù„زانية والزاني فاجلدوا كل واحد منهما مئة جلدة ولا تاخذكم بهما رافة في دين الله ان كنتم تؤمنون بالله واليوم الاخر وليشهد عذابهما طائفة من المؤمنين
بدکار عورت اور بدکار مرد (اگر غیر شادی شدہ ہوں) تو ان دونوں میں سے ہر ایک کو (شرائطِ حد کے ساتھ جرمِ زنا کے ثابت ہو جانے پر) سو (سو) کوڑے مارو (جبکہ شادی شدہ مرد و عورت کی بدکاری پر سزا رجم ہے اور یہ سزائے موت ہے) اور تمہیں ان دونوں پر (دین کے حکم کے اجراء) میں ذرا ترس نہیں آنا چاہئے اگر تم اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان رکھتے ہو، اور چاہئے کہ ان دونوں کی سزا (کے موقع) پر مسلمانوں کی (ایک اچھی خاصی) جماعت موجود ہو

Yousuf AliThe woman and the man guilty of adultery or fornication,- flog each of them with a hundred stripes: Let not compassion move you in their case, in a matter prescribed by Allah, if ye believe in Allah and the Last Day: and let a party of the Believers witness their punishment.

[024:003]		Alzzanee la yankihuilla zaniyatan aw mushrikatan waalzzaniyatula yankihuha illa zanin awmushrikun wahurrima thalika AAalaalmu/mineena الزَّانِي لَا يَنكِحُ إلَّا زَانِيَةً أَوْ مُشْرِكَةً وَالزَّانِيَةُ لَا يَنكِحُهَا إِلَّا زَانٍ أَوْ مُشْرِكٌ وَحُرِّمَ ذَلِكَ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ

 Ø§Ù„زاني لا ينكح الا زانية او مشركة والزانية لا ينكحها الا زان او مشرك وحرم ذلك علي المؤمنين
بدکار مرد سوائے بدکار عورت یا مشرک عورت کے (کسی پاکیزہ عورت سے) نکاح (کرنا پسند) نہیں کرتا اور بدکار عورت (بھی) سوائے بدکار مرد یا مشرک کے (کسی صالح شخص سے) نکاح (کرنا پسند) نہیں کرتی، اور یہ (فعلِ زنا) مسلمانوں پر حرام کر دیا گیا ہے

Yousuf AliLet no man guilty of adultery or fornication marry and but a woman similarly guilty, or an Unbeliever: nor let any but such a man or an Unbeliever marry such a woman: to the Believers such a thing is forbidden.

[024:004]		Waallatheena yarmoona almuhsanatithumma lam ya/too bi-arbaAAati shuhadaa faijlidoohumthamaneena jaldatan wala taqbaloo lahum shahadatanabadan waola-ika humu alfasiqoona وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ الْمُحْصَنَاتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَاجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَانِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا لَهُمْ شَهَادَةً أَبَدًا وَأُوْلَئِكَ هُمُ الْفَاسِقُونَ

 ÙˆØ§Ù„ذين يرمون المحصنات ثم لم ياتوا باربعة شهداء فاجلدوهم ثمانين جلدة ولا تقبلوا لهم شهادة ابدا واولئك هم الفاسقون
اور جو لوگ پاک دامن عورتوں پر (بدکاری کی) تہمت لگائیں پھر چار گواہ پیش نہ کر سکیں تو تم انہیں (سزائے قذف کے طور پر) اسّی کوڑے لگاؤ اور کبھی بھی ان کی گواہی قبول نہ کرو، اور یہی لوگ بدکردار ہیں

Yousuf AliAnd those who launch a charge against chaste women, and produce not four witnesses (to support their allegations),- flog them with eighty stripes; and reject their evidence ever after: for such men are wicked transgressors;-

[024:005]		Illa allatheena taboomin baAAdi thalika waaslahoo fa-inna Allahaghafoorun raheemun إِلَّا الَّذِينَ تَابُوا مِن بَعْدِ ذَلِكَ وَأَصْلَحُوا فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

 Ø§Ù„ا الذين تابوا من بعد ذلك واصلحوا فان الله غفور رحيم
سوائے ان کے جنہوں نے اس (تہمت لگنے) کے بعد توبہ کر لی اور (اپنی) اصلاح کر لی، تو بیشک اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا نہایت مہربان ہے (ان کا شمار فاسقوں میں نہیں ہوگا مگر اس سے حدِ قذف معاف نہیں ہوگی)

Yousuf AliUnless they repent thereafter and mend (their conduct); for Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

[024:006]		Waallatheena yarmoona azwajahumwalam yakun lahum shuhadao illa anfusuhum fashahadatuahadihim arbaAAu shahadatin biAllahiinnahu lamina alssadiqeena وَالَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَاجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَاءُ إِلَّا أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَادَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

 ÙˆØ§Ù„ذين يرمون ازواجهم ولم يكن لهم شهداء الا انفسهم فشهادة احدهم اربع شهادات بالله انه لمن الصادقين
اور جو لوگ اپنی بیویوں پر (بدکاری کی) تہمت لگائیں اور ان کے پاس سوائے اپنی ذات کے کوئی گواہ نہ ہوں تو ایسے کسی بھی ایک شخص کی گواہی یہ ہے کہ (وہ خود) چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قَسم کھا کر گواہی دے کہ وہ (الزام لگانے میں) سچا ہے

Yousuf AliAnd for those who launch a charge against their spouses, and have (in support) no evidence but their own,- their solitary evidence (can be received) if they bear witness four times (with an oath) by Allah that they are solemnly telling the truth;
 |والذين - and those| يرمون - blame and accuse (p) | ازواجهم - their wives/their husbands/ their spouses | ولم - null| يكن - null| لهم - for them/to them | شهداء - null| الا - blessings | انفسهم - null| فشهادة - null| احدهم - any of them | اربع - four | شهادات - null| بالله - with God/by God | انه - at it | لمن - to whom/to who | الصادقين - the truthful (p) |

[024:007]		Waalkhamisatu anna laAAnata AllahiAAalayhi in kana mina alkathibeena وَالْخَامِسَةُ أَنَّ لَعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ إِن كَانَ مِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

 ÙˆØ§Ù„خامسة ان لعنة الله عليه ان كان من الكاذبين
اور پانچویں مرتبہ یہ (کہے) کہ اس پر اللہ کی لعنت ہو اگر وہ جھوٹا ہو

Yousuf AliAnd the fifth (oath) (should be) that they solemnly invoke the curse of Allah on themselves if they tell a lie.
 |والخامسة - null| ان - that| لعنة - null| الله - God| عليه - JBKs - JBKs so forgave (on him)/so he forgave (on him) | ان - that| كان - ¨¥ - áDy¦¥ woe as if!/as though!/know!/ah | من - of| الكاذبين - the liars/the deniers/the |

[024:008]		Wayadrao AAanha alAAathaba antashhada arbaAAa shahadatin biAllahiinnahu lamina alkathibeena وَيَدْرَؤُاْ عَنْهَا الْعَذَابَ أَنْ تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَادَاتٍ بِاللَّهِ إِنَّهُ لَمِنَ الْكَاذِبِينَ

 ÙˆÙŠØ¯Ø±Ø§Ùˆ عنها العذاب ان تشهد اربع شهادات بالله انه لمن الكاذبين
اور (اسی طرح) یہ بات اس (عورت) سے (بھی) سزا کو ٹال سکتی ہے کہ وہ چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر (خود) گواہی دے کہ وہ (مرد اس تہمت کے لگانے میں) جھوٹا ہے

Yousuf AliBut it would avert the punishment from the wife, if she bears witness four times (with an oath) By Allah, that (her husband) is telling a lie;

[024:009]		Waalkhamisata anna ghadabaAllahi AAalayha in kana mina alssadiqeena وَالْخَامِسَةَ أَنَّ غَضَبَ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهَا إِن كَانَ مِنَ الصَّادِقِينَ

 ÙˆØ§Ù„خامسة ان غضب الله عليها ان كان من الصادقين
اور پانچویں مرتبہ یہ (کہے) کہ اس پر (یعنی مجھ پر) اللہ کا غضب ہو اگر یہ (مرد اس الزام لگانے میں) سچا ہو

Yousuf AliAnd the fifth (oath) should be that she solemnly invokes the wrath of Allah on herself if (her accuser) is telling the truth.
 |والخامسة - null| ان - that| غضب - null| الله - God| عليها - its high/its highiest/its elevated | ان - that| كان - ¨¥ - áDy¦¥ woe as if!/as though!/know!/ah | من - of| الصادقين - the truthful (p) |

[024:010]		Walawla fadlu AllahiAAalaykum warahmatuhu waanna Allaha tawwabunhakeemun وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ وَأَنَّ اللَّهَ تَوَّابٌ حَكِيمٌ
Tahir ul Qadri

 ÙˆÙ„ولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته وان الله تواب حكيم
اور اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی (تو تم ایسے حالات میں زیادہ پریشان ہوتے) اور بیشک اللہ بڑا ہی توبہ قبول فرمانے والا بڑی حکمت والا ہے

Yousuf AliIf it were not for Allah's grace and mercy on you, and that Allah is Oft-Returning, full of Wisdom,- (Ye would be ruined indeed).
 |ولولا - null| فضل - null| الله - God| عليكم - on you (p) | ورحمته - null| وان - although/even if | الله - God| تواب - null| حكيم - wise/judicious (ageeing and speaking the truth/philosophy/ justice/knowledge/patience) |

[024:011]		Inna allatheena jaoo bial-ifkiAAusbatun minkum la tahsaboohu sharran lakumbal huwa khayrun lakum likulli imri-in minhum ma iktasabamina al-ithmi waallathee tawalla kibrahuminhum lahu AAathabun AAatheemun إِنَّ الَّذِينَ جَاؤُوا بِالْإِفْكِ عُصْبَةٌ مِّنكُمْ لَا تَحْسَبُوهُ شَرًّا لَّكُم بَلْ هُوَ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لِكُلِّ امْرِئٍ مِّنْهُم مَّا اكْتَسَبَ مِنَ الْإِثْمِ وَالَّذِي تَوَلَّى كِبْرَهُ مِنْهُمْ لَهُ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

 Ø§Ù† الذين جاؤوا بالافك عصبة منكم لا تحسبوه شرا لكم بل هو خير لكم لكل امري منهم ما اكتسب من الاثم والذي تولي كبره منهم له عذاب عظيم
بیشک جن لوگوں نے (عائشہ صدیقہ طیبہ طاہرہ رضی اﷲ عنہا پر) بہتان لگایا تھا (وہ بھی) تم ہی میں سے ایک جماعت تھی، تم اس (بہتان کے واقعہ) کو اپنے حق میں برا مت سمجھو بلکہ وہ تمہارے حق میں بہتر (ہوگیا) ہے٭ ان میں سے ہر ایک کے لئے اتنا ہی گناہ ہے جتنا اس نے کمایا، اور ان میں سے جس نے اس (بہتان) میں سب سے زیادہ حصہ لیا اس کے لئے زبردست عذاب ہے

Yousuf AliThose who brought forward the lie are a body among yourselves: think it not to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you: to every man among them (will come the punishment) of the sin that he earned, and to him who took on himself the lead among them, will be a penalty grievous.

[024:012]		Lawla ith samiAAtumoohu thannaalmu/minoona waalmu/minatu bi-anfusihim khayran waqaloohatha ifkun mubeenun لَوْلَا إِذْ سَمِعْتُمُوهُ ظَنَّ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ وَالْمُؤْمِنَاتُ بِأَنفُسِهِمْ خَيْرًا وَقَالُوا هَذَا إِفْكٌ مُّبِينٌ

 Ù„ولا اذ سمعتموه ظن المؤمنون والمؤمنات بانفسهم خيرا وقالوا هذا افك مبين
ایسا کیوں نہ ہوا کہ جب تم نے اس (بہتان) کو سنا تھا تو مومن مرد اور مومن عورتیں اپنوں کے بارے میں نیک گمان کر لیتے اور (یہ) کہہ دیتے کہ یہ کھلا (جھوٹ پر مبنی) بہتان ہے

Yousuf AliWhy did not the believers - men and women - when ye heard of the affair,- put the best construction on it in their own minds and say, "This (charge) is an obvious lie"?
 |لولا - if only/were it not for/had it not been for/except for/but for/unless/ was it not for/it not | اذ - when/where/if | سمعتموه - null| ظن - thought/assumed/supposed/ doubted/suspected/assumption/ supposition/doubt/suspcion | المؤمنون - null| والمؤمنات - null| بانفسهم - null| خيرا - good/goodness/generous/ generosity/honour/wealth/best/ better | وقالوا - null| هذا - |B} what to that (what is the matter) | افك - was lied to/was turned away | مبين - clear/evident/shown/explained |

[024:013]		Lawla jaoo AAalayhibi-arbaAAati shuhadaa fa-ith lam ya/too bialshshuhada-ifaola-ika AAinda Allahi humu alkathiboona لَوْلَا جَاؤُوا عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَاءَ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا بِالشُّهَدَاءِ فَأُوْلَئِكَ عِندَ اللَّهِ هُمُ الْكَاذِبُونَ

 Ù„ولا جاؤوا عليه باربعة شهداء فاذ لم ياتوا بالشهداء فاولئك عند الله هم الكاذبون
یہ (افترا پرداز لوگ) اس (طوفان) پر چار گواہ کیوں نہ لائے، پھر جب وہ گواہ نہیں لا سکے تو یہی لوگ اللہ کے نزدیک جھوٹے ہیں

Yousuf AliWhy did they not bring four witnesses to prove it? When they have not brought the witnesses, such men, in the sight of Allah, (stand forth) themselves as liars!

[024:014]		Walawla fadlu AllahiAAalaykum warahmatuhu fee alddunya waal-akhiratilamassakum fee ma afadtum feehi AAathabunAAatheemun وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِي مَا أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ

 ÙˆÙ„ولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته في الدنيا والاخرة لمسكم في ما افضتم فيه عذاب عظيم
اور اگر تم پر دنیا و آخرت میں اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو جس (تہمت کے) چرچے میں تم پڑ گئے ہو اس پر تمہیں زبردست عذاب پہنچتا

Yousuf AliWere it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, in this world and the Hereafter, a grievous penalty would have seized you in that ye rushed glibly into this affair.

[024:015]		Ith talaqqawnahu bi-alsinatikumwataqooloona bi-afwahikum ma laysa lakum bihiAAilmun watahsaboonahu hayyinan wahuwa AAinda AllahiAAatheemun إِذْ تَلَقَّوْنَهُ بِأَلْسِنَتِكُمْ وَتَقُولُونَ بِأَفْوَاهِكُم مَّا لَيْسَ لَكُم بِهِ عِلْمٌ وَتَحْسَبُونَهُ هَيِّنًا وَهُوَ عِندَ اللَّهِ عَظِيمٌ

 Ø§Ø° تلقونه بالسنتكم وتقولون بافواهكم ما ليس لكم به علم وتحسبونه هينا وهو عند الله عظيم
جب تم اس (بات) کو (ایک دوسرے سے سن کر) اپنی زبانوں پر لاتے رہے اور اپنے منہ سے وہ کچھ کہتے رہے جس کا (خود) تمہیں کوئی علم ہی نہ تھا اور اس (چرچے) کو معمولی بات خیال کر رہے تھے، حالانکہ وہ اللہ کے حضور بہت بڑی (جسارت ہو رہی) تھی

Yousuf AliBehold, ye received it on your tongues, and said out of your mouths things of which ye had no knowledge; and ye thought it to be a light matter, while it was most serious in the sight of Allah.

 ÙˆÙ„ولا اذ سمعتموه قلتم ما يكون لنا ان نتكلم بهذا سبحانك هذا بهتان عظيم
اور جب تم نے یہ (بہتان) سنا تھا تو تم نے (اسی وقت) یہ کیوں نہ کہہ دیا کہ ہمارے لئے یہ (جائز ہی) نہیں کہ ہم اسے زبان پر لے آئیں (بلکہ تم یہ کہتے کہ اے اللہ!) تو پاک ہے (اس بات سے کہ ایسی عورت کو اپنے حبیب مکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی محبوب زوجہ بنا دے)، یہ بہت بڑا بہتان ہے

Yousuf AliAnd why did ye not, when ye heard it, say? - "It is not right of us to speak of this: Glory to Allah! this is a most serious slander!"

[024:017]		YaAAithukumu Allahu antaAAoodoo limithlihi abadan in kuntum mu/mineena يَعِظُكُمُ اللَّهُ أَن تَعُودُوا لِمِثْلِهِ أَبَدًا إِن كُنتُم مُّؤْمِنِينَ

 ÙŠØ¹Ø¸ÙƒÙ… الله ان تعودوا لمثله ابدا ان كنتم مؤمنين
اللہ تم کو نصیحت فرماتا ہے کہ پھر کبھی بھی ایسی بات (عمر بھر) نہ کرنا اگر تم اہلِ ایمان ہو

Yousuf AliAllah doth admonish you, that ye may never repeat such (conduct), if ye are (true) Believers.

 Ø§Ù† الذين يحبون ان تشيع الفاحشة في الذين امنوا لهم عذاب اليم في الدنيا والاخرة والله يعلم وانتم لا تعلمون
بیشک جو لوگ اس بات کو پسند کرتے ہیں کہ مسلمانوں میں بے حیائی پھیلے ان کے لئے دنیا اور آخرت میں دردناک عذاب ہے، اور اللہ (ایسے لوگوں کے عزائم کو) جانتا ہے اور تم نہیں جانتے

Yousuf AliThose who love (to see) scandal published broadcast among the Believers, will have a grievous Penalty in this life and in the Hereafter: Allah knows, and ye know not.

اور اگر تم پر (اس رسولِ مکرّم صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کے صدقہ میں) اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو (تم بھی پہلی امتوں کی طرح تباہ کر دیئے جاتے) مگر اللہ بڑا شفیق بڑا رحم فرمانے والا ہے

 ÙŠØ£ÙŠÙ‡Ø§ الذين امنوا لا تتبعوا خطوات الشيطان ومن يتبع خطوات الشيطان فانه يامر بالفحشاء والمنكر ولولا فضل الله عليكم ورحمته ما ازكي منكم من احد ابدا ولكن الله يزكي من يشاء والله سميع عليم
اے ایمان والو! شیطان کے راستوں پر نہ چلو، اور جو شخص شیطان کے نقوشِ قدم پر چلتا ہے تو وہ یقیناً بے حیائی اور برے کاموں (کے فروغ) کا حکم دیتا ہے، اور اگر تم پر اللہ کا فضل اور اس کی رحمت نہ ہوتی تو تم میں سے کوئی شخص بھی کبھی (اس گناہِ تہمت کے داغ سے) پاک نہ ہو سکتا لیکن اللہ جسے چاہتا ہے پاک فرما دیتا ہے، اور اللہ خوب سننے والا جاننے والا ہے

Yousuf AliO ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).

[024:022]		Wala ya/tali oloo alfadliminkum waalssaAAati an yu/too olee alqurba waalmasakeenawaalmuhajireena fee sabeeli AllahiwalyaAAfoo walyasfahoo ala tuhibboonaan yaghfira Allahu lakum waAllahu ghafoorunraheemun وَلَا يَأْتَلِ أُوْلُوا الْفَضْلِ مِنكُمْ وَالسَّعَةِ أَن يُؤْتُوا أُوْلِي الْقُرْبَى وَالْمَسَاكِينَ وَالْمُهَاجِرِينَ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ وَلْيَعْفُوا وَلْيَصْفَحُوا أَلَا تُحِبُّونَ أَن يَغْفِرَ اللَّهُ لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ غَفُورٌ رَّحِيمٌ

 ÙˆÙ„ا ياتل اولوا الفضل منكم والسعة ان يؤتوا اولي القربي والمساكين والمهاجرين في سبيل الله وليعفوا وليصفحوا الا تحبون ان يغفر الله لكم والله غفور رحيم
اور تم میں سے (دینی) بزرگی والے اور (دنیوی) کشائش والے (اب) اس بات کی قَسم نہ کھائیں کہ وہ (اس بہتان کے جرم میں شریک) رشتہ داروں اور محتاجوں اور اللہ کی راہ میں ہجرت کرنے والوں کو (مالی امداد نہ) دیں گے انہیں چاہئے کہ (ان کا قصور) معاف کر دیں اور (ان کی غلطی سے) درگزر کریں، کیا تم اس بات کو پسند نہیں کرتے کہ اللہ تمہیں بخش دے، اور اللہ بڑا بخشنے والا مہربان ہے

Yousuf AliLet not those among you who are endued with grace and amplitude of means resolve by oath against helping their kinsmen, those in want, and those who have left their homes in Allah's cause: let them forgive and overlook, do you not wish that Allah should forgive you? For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

 Ø§Ù† الذين يرمون المحصنات الغافلات المؤمنات لعنوا في الدنيا والاخرة ولهم عذاب عظيم
بیشک جو لوگ ان پارسا مومن عورتوں پر جو (برائی کے تصور سے بھی) بے خبر اور ناآشنا ہیں (ایسی) تہمت لگاتے ہیں وہ دنیا اور آخرت (دونوں جہانوں) میں ملعون ہیں اور ان کے لئے زبردست عذاب ہے

Yousuf AliThose who slander chaste women, indiscreet but believing, are cursed in this life and in the Hereafter: for them is a grievous Penalty,-

[024:024]		Yawma tashhadu AAalayhim alsinatuhumwaaydeehim waarjuluhum bima kanoo yaAAmaloona يَوْمَ تَشْهَدُ عَلَيْهِمْ أَلْسِنَتُهُمْ وَأَيْدِيهِمْ وَأَرْجُلُهُم بِمَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

 ÙŠÙˆÙ… تشهد عليهم السنتهم وايديهم وارجلهم بما كانوا يعملون
جس دن (خود) ان کی زبانیں اور ان کے ہاتھ اور ان کے پاؤں انہی کے خلاف گواہی دیں گے کہ جو کچھ وہ کرتے رہے تھے

Yousuf AliOn the Day when their tongues, their hands, and their feet will bear witness against them as to their actions.

 ÙŠÙˆÙ…ئذ يوفيهم الله دينهم الحق ويعلمون ان الله هو الحق المبين
اس دن اللہ انہیں ان (کے اعمال) کی پوری پوری جزا جس کے وہ صحیح حق دار ہیں دے دے گا اور وہ جان لیں گے کہ اللہ (خود بھی) حق ہے (اور حق کو) ظاہر فرمانے والا (بھی) ہے

Yousuf AliOn that Day Allah will pay them back (all) their just dues, and they will realise that Allah is the (very) Truth, that makes all things manifest.

[024:026]		Alkhabeethatu lilkhabeetheena waalkhabeethoonalilkhabeethati waalttayyibatu lilttayyibeenawaalttayyiboona lilttayyibatiola-ika mubarraoona mimma yaqooloona lahummaghfiratun warizqun kareemun الْخَبِيثَاتُ لِلْخَبِيثِينَ وَالْخَبِيثُونَ لِلْخَبِيثَاتِ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ لِلطَّيِّبِينَ وَالطَّيِّبُونَ لِلطَّيِّبَاتِ أُوْلَئِكَ مُبَرَّؤُونَ مِمَّا يَقُولُونَ لَهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌ وَرِزْقٌ كَرِيمٌ

 Ø§Ù„خبيثات للخبيثين والخبيثون للخبيثات والطيبات للطيبين والطيبون للطيبات اولئك مبرؤون مما يقولون لهم مغفرة ورزق كريم
ناپاک عورتیں ناپاک مردوں کے لئے (مخصوص) ہیں اور پلید مرد پلید عورتوں کے لئے ہیں، اور (اسی طرح) پاک و طیب عورتیں پاکیزہ مردوں کے لئے (مخصوص) ہیں اور پاک و طیب مرد پاکیزہ عورتوں کے لئے ہیں (سو تم رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وآلہ وسلم کی پاکیزگی و طہارت کو دیکھ کر خود سوچ لیتے کہ اللہ نے ان کے لئے زوجہ بھی کس قدر پاکیزہ و طیب بنائی ہوگی)، یہ (پاکیزہ لوگ) ان (تہمتوں) سے کلیتًا بری ہیں جو یہ (بدزبان) لوگ کہہ رہے ہیں، ان کے لئے (تو) بخشائش اور عزت و بزرگی والی عطا (مقدر ہو چکی) ہے (تم ان کی شان میں زبان درازی کر کے کیوں اپنا منہ کالا اور اپنی آخرت تباہ و برباد کرتے ہو)

Yousuf AliWomen impure are for men impure, and men impure for women impure and women of purity are for men of purity, and men of purity are for women of purity: these are not affected by what people say: for them there is forgiveness, and a provision honourable.

[024:027]		Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tadkhuloo buyootan ghayra buyootikum hattatasta/nisoo watusallimoo AAala ahliha thalikumkhayrun lakum laAAallakum tathakkaroona يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا لَا تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ بُيُوتِكُمْ حَتَّى تَسْتَأْنِسُوا وَتُسَلِّمُوا عَلَى أَهْلِهَا ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَّكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَذَكَّرُونَ

 ÙŠØ£ÙŠÙ‡Ø§ الذين امنوا لا تدخلوا بيوتا غير بيوتكم حتي تستانسوا وتسلموا علي اهلها ذلكم خير لكم لعلكم تذكرون
اے ایمان والو! اپنے گھروں کے سوا دوسرے گھروں میں داخل نہ ہوا کرو، یہاں تک کہ تم ان سے اجازت لے لو اور ان کے رہنے والوں کو (داخل ہوتے ہی) سلام کہا کرو، یہ تمہارے لئے بہتر (نصیحت) ہے تاکہ تم (اس کی حکمتوں میں) غور و فکر کرو

Yousuf AliO ye who believe! enter not houses other than your own, until ye have asked permission and saluted those in them: that is best for you, in order that ye may heed (what is seemly).

[024:028]		Fa-in lam tajidoo feeha ahadanfala tadkhulooha hatta yu/thanalakum wa-in qeela lakumu irjiAAoo fairjiAAoo huwa azkalakum waAllahu bima taAAmaloona AAaleemun فَإِن لَّمْ تَجِدُوا فِيهَا أَحَدًا فَلَا تَدْخُلُوهَا حَتَّى يُؤْذَنَ لَكُمْ وَإِن قِيلَ لَكُمُ ارْجِعُوا فَارْجِعُوا هُوَ أَزْكَى لَكُمْ وَاللَّهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ عَلِيمٌ

 ÙØ§Ù† لم تجدوا فيها احدا فلا تدخلوها حتي يؤذن لكم وان قيل لكم ارجعوا فارجعوا هو ازكي لكم والله بما تعملون عليم
پھر اگر تم ان (گھروں) میں کسی شخص کو موجود نہ پاؤ تو تم ان کے اندر مت جایا کرو یہاں تک کہ تمہیں (اس بات کی) اجازت دی جائے اور اگر تم سے کہا جائے کہ واپس چلے جاؤ تو تم واپس پلٹ جایا کرو، یہ تمہارے حق میں بڑی پاکیزہ بات ہے، اور اللہ ان کاموں سے جو تم کرتے ہو خوب آگاہ ہے

Yousuf AliIf ye find no one in the house, enter not until permission is given to you: if ye are asked to go back, go back: that makes for greater purity for yourselves: and Allah knows well all that ye do.

[024:029]		Laysa AAalaykum junahun an tadkhuloobuyootan ghayra maskoonatin feeha mataAAun lakum waAllahuyaAAlamu ma tubdoona wama taktumoona لَّيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ أَن تَدْخُلُوا بُيُوتًا غَيْرَ مَسْكُونَةٍ فِيهَا مَتَاعٌ لَّكُمْ وَاللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ مَا تُبْدُونَ وَمَا تَكْتُمُونَ

 Ù„يس عليكم جناح ان تدخلوا بيوتا غير مسكونة فيها متاع لكم والله يعلم ما تبدون وما تكتمون
اس میں تم پر گناہ نہیں کہ تم ان مکانات (و عمارات) میں جو کسی کی مستقل رہائش گاہ نہیں ہیں (مثلاً ہوٹل، سرائے اور مسافر خانے وغیرہ میں بغیر اجازت کے) چلے جاؤ (کہ) ان میں تمہیں فائدہ اٹھانے کا حق (حاصل) ہے، اور اللہ ان (سب باتوں) کو جانتا ہے جو تم ظاہر کرتے ہو اور جو تم چھپاتے ہو

Yousuf AliIt is no fault on your part to enter houses not used for living in, which serve some (other) use for you: And Allah has knowledge of what ye reveal and what ye conceal.

[024:030]		Qul lilmu/mineena yaghuddoo min absarihumwayahfathoo furoojahum thalika azkalahum inna Allaha khabeerun bima yasnaAAoona قُل لِّلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ ذَلِكَ أَزْكَى لَهُمْ إِنَّ اللَّهَ خَبِيرٌ بِمَا يَصْنَعُونَ

 Ù‚Ù„ للمؤمنين يغضوا من ابصارهم ويحفظوا فروجهم ذلك ازكي لهم ان الله خبير بما يصنعون
آپ مومن مَردوں سے فرما دیں کہ وہ اپنی نگاہیں نیچی رکھا کریں اور اپنی شرم گاہوں کی حفاظت کیا کریں، یہ ان کے لئے بڑی پاکیزہ بات ہے۔ بیشک اللہ ان کاموں سے خوب آگاہ ہے جو یہ انجام دے رہے ہیں

Yousuf AliSay to the believing men that they should lower their gaze and guard their modesty: that will make for greater purity for them: And Allah is well acquainted with all that they do.
